We are currently seeking a Chemist for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in Harrogate (UK). You will operate within our Environmental team to work on a range of projects to deliver, data summaries, dossier sections and strategic advice to support registrations of crop protection chemicals and biocides in Europe
You will be responsible for:- Generating summaries of individual chemical identity, physical and chemical properties and analytical method validation study reports
- Using existing knowledge and experience to interpret data from relevant studies, drawing sound scientific and regulatory conclusions
- Monitoring studies relating to chemical identity, physical and chemical properties and analytical method validation
- Providing strategic advice on matters relating to chemical identity, physical and chemical properties and analytical method validation
- Participating actively in project teams to ensure Exponent’s high standards for external communication are met
- Adhering to budget and deadline constraints on projects
- Managing small projects and managing individual tasks of larger projects
- Minimum B.Sc. degree or equivalent in a relevant chemistry discipline
- Experience of working in a regulatory environment, particularly relating to the areas of identity, physical and chemical properties or analytical method validation
