We are delighted to be working with a medium sized and highly professional multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy who, due to an expanding workload have an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Senior Civil Engineer to join the civils division of their growing practice in Plymouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Due to a healthy forward workload, our client is currently looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer with 5+ years of post-graduate experience and nearing professionally qualified or have obtained incorporated or equivalent professional institution status.
Ideally, you will be chartered ICE / MIHE or similar and will be responsible for the preparation, issue, and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements of the company. To be responsible for the technical, financial, and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager. To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a great opportunity for a Chartered or near Chartered Senior Civil Engineer to join a successful, well established Civil and Structural Design Consultancy based out of their Plymouth Office.
You will join a busy and expanding team in working on a variety of engineering projects including retail, housing, leisure and commercial builds, within an up-and-coming friendly team. The ability and desire to develop new and existing contacts and relationships locally is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate good development of knowledge in Civil Engineering and development infrastructure;
- Have awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment. Have the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, local authorities and highways officers;
- Be fully conversant with sectional agreements such as S38, S278, etc;
- Have awareness of business development activities and be responsible for the preparation, issue and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements;
- To have limited responsibility for technical, financial, and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager. To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.
Qualifications / Experience:
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience nearing professionally qualified or have obtained incorporated or equivalent professional institution status;
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering;
- Full clean driving licence.
