We have an exciting opportunity with a leading Insurance company in Glasgow, who are looking for a Senior Claims Technician to join the team.
This role is all about providing essential support to Adjusters and contributing to the efficient management of commercial claims. The position is based in Glasgow but offers remote working.

What will you be doing?
- Administer new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, setting up files, and conducting risk screening and triaging
- Assist Adjusters with investigation and validation enquiries
- Manage the lifecycle of files to support diary management and proactive claims handling from initiation to conclusion
- Oversee Adjuster caseloads during periods of leave
- Liaise with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimum customer service and act as a point of contact when necessary
- Aid in the production of technical reports for Adjusters, ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales
- Ensure time reporting and billing align with internal standards and systems
- Develop and run management information for both clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports
- Uphold company standards in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security
- Provide account management support as required
- Handle incoming telephone calls and resolve queries
- Manage invoicing and other ad hoc tasks as needed

About you:
- Previous experience in Property Claims is required for this one
- Experience in a fast-paced office and/or administration environment
- Ability to learn and adapt to systems effectively and efficiently
- Organised with the ability to self-manage workload
- Methodical, accurate, and analytical approach to work
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands
- Thrive in a high-pressure working environment
- Driven to meet and exceed targets
- Flexibility with travel requirements
