Hours:35 hours permClosing Date:Thu, 27 Jun 2024IT Senior Cloud EngineerSalary to 62,036k plus full benefitsJob IntroductionAs a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be part of the team responsible for delivering change to our public cloud (Microsoft Azure). The role requires skills and experience across the Microsoft Azure stack to enable the successful automation, monitoring and management of our Azure environment.Utilising your skills and experience and bringing knowledge from internal and external sources you will support the Cloud Engineers to implement new ways of working aligned to best practice to support our IT services in the cloud.You will support Cloud Engineers to implement new technologies and processes ensuring services are configured for maximum efficiency and flexibility and the right level of governance and control to ensure our services and data are safe and secure.What you will be doingYour main responsibilities will include:Reviewing and contributing to High Level Designs for cloud platform delivery, that meet operational needs, security standards, service levels, resiliency (where required) and business change demand.Monitoring metrics and adjusting configurations for optimum availability and performance.Configuring the cloud
platform for required functionality and performance.Investigating and resolving problems.Supporting and coaching the Cloud Engineers during delivery of designs.What you will bringTo succeed in this role you should have a thorough knowledge of Cloud platforms with relevant understanding of the system development lifecycle and the service management lifecycle.You need to be proficient at delivering IAC using BICEP through Devops.You need to be Azure certified for this role including AZ-305,  with ITIL and scrum experience too.You need to be familiar with SAFe. About Skipton Building SocietyAt Skipton Building Society we are not just another Financial Services Institution we are a mutual organisation, which means we are owned by our members and believe in placing them at the heart of everything we do.
