SalaryA leading independent provider of specialist adult care and education services is looking for a Senior Communications Consultant on an initial 12-month contract, paying £75,000 - £80,000.
Reporting into the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be working closely with senior leaders to advise on the best communications approach to align with the organisation strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a communications function in a business of c.12,000 employees working across both the UK and MENA region.
The Senior Communications Consultant will spearhead the business’ refreshed approach to communications with a clear strategy focused on employees and trusted external partners. They’ll be a hands-on individual who can deliver both strategically and tactically. The key communications objectives over the next 12-months are:
- To support a step change impact in engagement with employees
- Add tangible awareness, understanding, involvement and engagement with employees to the organisation’s recruitment and retention activities
- To increase and deepen understanding and trust with key funders and other stakeholders
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering impact and working within an organisation with a multiple-brand set up, in order to align the culture and make sure all employees are working towards one common purpose. They’ll have experience of multi-channel implementation of trusted relationship building with staff teams and key external stakeholders.
There’s no requirement to have prior experience working within the health and social care sectors but will the hiring manager is looking for someone with a fresh, innovative, and fast-paced attitude and capability to get things done. They’ll also have scope to bring in extra resource, either through internal appointments or using agency expertise.
This is a 12-month contract with a likely start date in April 2024. The organisation has a hybrid working model with 2 - 3 days a week in the Hertfordshire office.
