Senior Community Care Assistant

Hays is excited to be working on behalf of a growing organisation who provide quality care to clients within their own homes within the Colchester and surrounding areas. This company is growing their client base and therefore are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to join their team, to support them with developing their business further.
Your new role
This role will involve supporting elderly residents within their own homes with everyday support, which could include personal care, emotional care and support, managing bills, finances and food shops. Supporting household duties and ensuring individuals feel comfortable and safe within their own home and are free from any harm. As a senior, this role will also involve reading, writing and assessing care plans and risk assessments. You will also be responsible for coordinating staff visits, to make sure the service users are receiving the correct support at the right times. This role will involve being office-based part of the time and getting the paperwork completed!
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have experience working in social care in the UK, and be passionate about stepping up into a senior position. Alternatively, if you are already working in a senior capacity within the care industry and are looking for your next challenge, this could be suitable for you as a step-up!
To also be considered for this role, you must drive and have access to your own car. Mileage is, however, paid by the organisation.
You must, of course, be a passionate, caring and patient individual in order to provide the right care and support for these clients.
What you\'ll get in return
You will receive an extremely competitive rate of pay of up to £15 per hour. There is also an enhanced weekend rate and mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
