Job description

DAS UK Group is looking to bring on board a driven and proficient Senior Compliance Officer to join the Risk and Compliance department on a fixed term basis until December 2024. Reporting into the Head of Compliance Advice, this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to support the delivery of the compliance framework and manage the regulatory risk of the business.

Working closely with stakeholders across the wider business, you will look to provide pragmatic second line advice and guidance on general day to day business activities and projects, regulatory change and other initiatives. In addition, you will provide technical advice and policy interpretation, challenging the status quo as appropriate and adopting a pro-active and inquisitive approach to identify potential risk issues.

This is a broad and varied opportunity, and covers the FCA, PRA and ICO regulatory frameworks, including financial crime, and the appointed candidate will be expected to exercise judgement and discretion on the regulatory topics within their remit.

 

Request

We are keen to hear from candidates with demonstrable experience delivering compliance support within the first or second line of defence. You will hold in-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant financial services regulation and legislation, and the ability to exercise pragmatic judgement and challenge decision making where appropriate.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

•             Analytical and research skills with the ability to turn information into clear and concise risk-based insight and to deliver this with professionalism and authority

•             Strong delivery ethos, team ethic and collaborative approach, ensuring that good customer outcomes is at the heart of everything we do

•             Effective coaching skills to assist the development of other team members and knowledge sharing in the wider department
