Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Computational Biologist role located in the middle of Cambridge at a beautiful, relaxing location designed to do innovative science. Hybrid setup might be arranged after successful probation period. The Senior Computational Biologist will be responsible for developing analytical pipelines and tools that support Cell Tree Analytics development and deployment. The Senior Computational Biologist will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, and also collaborate with external researchers and clinicians.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, physics, math or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, and Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis, including genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic data
- Extensive single cell sequencing experience is the best qualification for this position
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization
- Experience with cloud computing, containerization, and workflow management systems such as AWS, Docker, and Nextflow
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms such as GitHub
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
