Location: London - You will be required to travel regularly to Partner Practices within a defined geographical location.

The main purpose of this role is to complete a programme of 1st line risk management controls to identify and manage the key Partner and generic risks within the Location.

What you'll be doing:
  • Playing an active part in the Location Risk management process, identifying and managing risks in the Location and when required supporting the investigations process, including output from the Themed reviews and complete ad hoc reviews as raised by the Centre.
  • Completing the Partner Compliance Review Program assessing risks posed to SJP and, where necessary, addressing these with Partners.
  • As required, running ad-hoc training / consultation workshops for new and existing Partners, Advisors and PSS.
  • As required, completing the Financial Monitoring program and identifing Partners potentially under financial strain. Working with Partners/Supervisors to implement strategies to address financial strain and ensure fitness and propriety.
  • Reviewing Location, Partner and Business Partner/Supervisor MI to determine trends and instigate investigation as required.

We are looking for someone who has CII Level 4 Diploma, or is willing to study to achieve it, and the following:

  • The Technical knowledge to be able to review a broad range of business to identify suitable advice and areas for Partner development.
  • Aptitude for reviewing MI, identifying potential issues and having the ability to implement effective mitigation.
  • Understanding of FCA COBs rules regarding CF30 advisor competence, fit and proper requirement and the appropriate supervisory expectations and the requirements of the Compliance Procedures and Information manual and Money Laundering Handbook with the ability to implement the policy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with all types of Partners and FMT, either face to face, on the phone or in writing.
  • Ability to challenge and influence Partners by clearly explaining the benefits of change to their business, diplomacy to deliver bad news and convey difficult messages.
