This Senior Continuous Improvement Manager role is all about driving operational excellence in a KPI managed, deadline driven environment. This is immersing yourself in the site, its behaviours, processes and overall culture, understanding, supporting and identifying those critical areas of improvement with the site and identifying opportunities for improvement with the teams.

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement operational specialist who understands process, factory kit and how to work closely with manufacturing teams. Engaging in the right (common sense) language, coaching and educating to generate new ideas working with the detail about the daily challenges and bottlenecks to expose what can be unlocked and improved upon.

A clear communicator with proven project management experience is essential to successfully drive this transformation agenda. This manufacturing site is early in their lean manufacturing journey so a great opportunity for a subject matter expert in operational excellence who has been there before - going from the basics, gaining trust, a belief in 'what good looks like' can be achieved and then taking them through it step by step.

The Role

• To identify opportunities that deliver improvements for the manufacturing unit and facilitate team performance.
• Work alongside the Operational Management Team to challenge current processes and standards and develop new, more efficient and effective ways of working.
• Implement cross functional teams and work with them to drive the improvements.
• Engage with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and technical to understand the opportunities and convert this into key impact areas that will drive the necessary changes.
• Conduct processing mapping to enable further efficiency within the current parameters.
• When the step changes have been identified compile the correct project plans and the teams to work within the project/s.
• Reporting in to and working closely with the Head of Operations. There is a strong operations team in place so lots of experience and knowledge to work with to make the appropriate plans of action.

• Continuous Improvement background in Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
• A detailed understanding of operations management in target drive environments.

• Project management skills - action led approach able to engage and lead the team to deadlines.

• A clear communicator and enabler.
