We are currently seeking a Senior Contract Manager to join our client whose current contracts / pipelines amount to approximately £80 -100m.
This is a truly exciting time to join this growing company who have a solid pipeline of projects for the coming years to design, build, install and commission specialist high temperature hazardous waste treatment plants.
The successful candidate must be able to handle multiple concurrent projects, oversee and manage site-based teams.
Based at Head Office, however you will be expected to travel to sites throughout the UK as required. Please apply only if you are open to travel.
The overview of this opportunity will see the successful Senior Contracts Manager deal with the management, from design through to commissioning and handover of multiple Hazardous Waste to Energy contracts.
Management of the project; aligning the project to business goals, creation of detailed project plans, manage team, achieve milestones, mitigate risks, effective stakeholder communications and delivery of the project within agreed timescales and budget.

YOUR NEW ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible and overall accountability for the site project
Overall responsibility for Contract Management of multiple projects
Manage Site Managers and other Project Team members
Review contracts and Schedules at pre-contract stages and amend as necessary according to project scope and responsibilities.
Awareness and compliance of contract terms, preparing regular update reports and updating as required by the contract
Create and maintain a detailed project plan; monitor progress and performance against it; prepare and present technical and project status data to internal and external stakeholders
Plan all phases of projects, develop project schedule and manage critical paths ensuring accurate project documentation is completed and updates are communicated to stakeholders in a timely manner
Develops project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Performs risk management to minimise project risks, assure timely resolution of issues
Evaluate changes in scope and budget and prepare variation cost submissions for approval by the Client
Identify resource requirements in line with budgets
Health & Safety responsibility – Ensure compliance with all HS&E requirements
Cross learning and sharing best practice with wider project team
Interface for the procurement manager to ensure resources & materials are purchased within necessary project timescales
Responsible for ensuring quality is met on the project with support from the Quality Manager.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES
Proven Contract Management experience in a Process Environment managing multiple concurrent projects
Demonstrable construction related project management experience at the project scale
Contract Management experience, ideally IChemE Red Book
In-depth understanding of construction procedures
Understanding of industrial mechanical & electrical drawings, P&IDs and installation procedures (combustion and steam generation experience preferred)
Recognised Project Management qualification - preferred
Experience of managing a Considerate Construction site an advantage
Proven ability to successfully complete projects to outlined scope and budget
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Develop and manage project deliverables
Identification and management of project risks
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVE - Demonstrated experience of performing similar role
MUST HAVE - Fully conversant with Microsoft project & Office suite
SMSTS – (Advantageous)
CSCS Black - (Advantageous)
First Aid Qualification - (Advantageous)
ISO/AS standards understanding
Full Driving Licence
