We are working with an esteemed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) dedicated to developing state-of-the-art assembly and testing solutions for the automotive and aerospace sectors. Their commitment to excellence drives us to seek a Senior Control System Engineer to contribute expertise in machinery design and functional safety.
As a Senior Control System Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing machinery and equipment designs, prioritising functional safety aspects for the automotive and aerospace industries. Your role will involve creating innovative solutions that align with industry standards and drive efficiency in assembly and testing processes.
Senior Control System Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Head program development in Beckhoff & Siemens systems for control panel solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define specs and seamlessly integrate Control Systems.
- Advocate for safety principles, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Innovate structured text systems for improved efficiency and reliability in testing and assembly.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering an innovative culture of excellence within the team.
Senior Control System Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's/HND in Electrical/Control System Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in programming for control panels or machinery.
- Skilled in PLC and structured text programming.
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, and innovative approach to design challenges.
