Our Client, a private clinic in Dublin is seeking a Senior CT Radiographer for full-time permanent work. Our client is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care through the utilization of state of the art facilities.
The Senior CT Radiographer is tasked with delivering a top-tier clinical and professional service to all clients within the Radiology Department. Depending on experience, there is potential for rotation through various specialties.
You Will:
- Undertake all CT procedures with a specialized level of technical proficiency, efficiency, and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols. Prioritize the safety and optimal imaging results for patients by ensuring that procedures and protocols adhere to the highest standards, utilizing the lowest achievable dose.
- Continually train, supervise, and update radiographic staff to maintain Best Practice standards, fostering a competent and confident workforce. Take responsibility for the administration of IV contrast agents, including training and monitoring procedures, with a focus on IV training that includes anaphylaxis reactions.
- Adapt the service to meet both long and short-term demands, collaborating with colleagues and Clinical Specialists to organize daily workloads in alignment with clinical priorities.
- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with departmental staff, hospital personnel, and external sources, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to both patients and clinicians.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA regulations related to ionizing radiation, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- To promote research based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit where appropriate
- Maintain up to date knowledge of cross sectional imaging and developments in line with CPD requirements
- Utilise department protocols and set standards to continually undertake CT and other procedures of the highest quality
- Execute their duties courteously and professionally at all times and seek to ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided by the Radiology department
- Participate in weekend duties.
You will need:
- BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
- CORU registration
- Postgraduate qualification in CT desirable but not essential
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with at least two years in CT
- Cath lab experience desirable
- Qualified to administer I.V. contrast
- Familiar with a computerised patient information system and PACS.
