Cyber Security Solution Architect will be responsible for architecture, design, and consultancy on all projects within the Cyber Security portfolio, reporting to the Cyber Security Programme Manager. Emphasizing a security-first approach to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving cyber security landscape, the Solution Architect will contribute to the design and delivery of solutions to support continuous improvement of the Thames Water Cyber Resilience strategy.

Cyber Security Solution Architect will be responsible for architecture, design, and consultancy on all projects within the Cyber Security portfolio, reporting to the Cyber Security Programme Manager. Emphasizing a security-first approach to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving cyber security landscape, the Solution Architect will contribute to the design and delivery of solutions to support continuous improvement of the Thames Water Cyber Resilience strategy.
What you will be doing as Cyber Security Solution Architect
- Design high-level infrastructure, application, business and security architecture for projects across the Cyber Security portfolio.
- Contribute to project scope, objectives, to ensure feasibility of delivery and achieving desired outcomes and benefits.
- Collaborate with application product delivery teams to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and support them with architectural challenges throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Work with the relevant Technology, Change Management and Enterprise Architects to ensure that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the design.

- Proven experience working as a Solution Architect on large scale programmes within a Cyber Security Portfolio.
- Experience in leading the end to end technical delivery of a Cyber Security Programme.
- Knowledge of one or more cybersecurity controls standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc).
- Working knowledge of security architecture requirements for solution designs, good security practices related to AWS/Azure PaaS, IaaS, SaaS configuration and an understanding of enterprise scale solutions.
- Understanding of vulnerability management and threat landscape detection and remediation.
- Experience with developing and implementing comprehensive IAM strategies and policies.
- Understanding of Network Security risks and solutions.
- Experience of the M365 security stack: Endpoint, Defender, DLP, Device Management, Azure Sentinel.
- Cloud Security (Tenable, CyberArk, MDR solutions, Remote Access, Network security).
- Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials, UK DPA/GDPR.
- Experience in Securing and containing Legacy Systems, such as Micro Segmentation, Hardening etc.
- You will have started your career as a security engineer and worked your way up
- Have worked with a business to get them to a Cyber Assured Status
- TOGAF Certified
- Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect
- Cisco Certification in both Cyber Ops and Security
- Competitive salary £90,000 per annum.
- Annual Leave 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
