Key Responsibilities
- Support the Cyber Delivery Manager, providing co-ordination and oversight of Cyber Specialists' engagement across project portfolios
- Support implementation of the PDS Cyber Services (CS) strategy, roadmaps, business plans, bids and business cases
- Perform review and Quality Assurance of project deliverables across portfolios
- Advise on necessary technical and procedural governance, control systems, standards and procedures
- Support the Cyber Delivery Manager and Head of Cyber Delivery with demand forecasts, capacity planning and time recording
- Forge strong relationships with National Policing Programme personnel and key stakeholders across Policing
- Contribute towards the development and optimisation of the Cyber Delivery team's Secure by Design Framework
- Provide security advice, secure solutions and risk identification and quantification for National Policing projects and programmes
- Monitor security, technological, social and scientific trends that could influence the National Policing policy
- Develop, document and maintain information security and risk policies, standards and guidelines for use by National Policing
- Input into the overall National Policing Target Architecture from a security perspective
What you need to succeed in the role
Skills & Knowledge
- Degree in a technology discipline or significant relevant experience
- Industry recognised certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, NCSC Certified Cyber Professional (CCP) SIRA, IA Architect, CRISC)
- Relevant knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: security architecture, cloud security, Security Operations, Infrastructure Security, Application Security or DevSecOps
- Knowledge of ICT programme delivery consulting approaches and security solution architecture principles
- Good knowledge of Digital Policing Strategy and understanding of current technologies and cyber challenges relevant to the policing sector
- Strong stakeholder management, engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially and technically astute problem solver
- Ability to present to large and small groups, including non-technical audiences
- Good understanding of privacy requirements (including GDPR and DPA 2018)
Experience
- Experience in IT/Information security and risk consulting experience in large organisations
- Experience in defining and/or implementing security controls across multiple layers of the IT architecture stack
- Experience of workload and task management, including delegation and co-ordination of tasks across a team
- Experience in estimating, scheduling and planning of activities, including input to project plans.
- Experience in authoring management reports and briefing papers, and presenting back to management
- Experience in the production of/input to design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, blueprints etc.), supporting cloud architecture design, implementation, and operations
- Knowledge and experience of designing and assessing systems against the NIST Cyber Security Framework and/or ISO27001
- Track record of developing strong working relationships with numerous stakeholders
