The Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) Integrated Care System (ICS) are seeking a Senior Evaluation Analyst to deliver a portfolio of strategic insights from data analysis projects.
Your role and responsibilities
You will work with health and care partners to guide and support evaluation projects, manage discrete evaluation analyses and work with wider analytical teams in system partners to evidence the case for change across matters of strategic and/or operational interest. This will include:
- provision of expert advice on evaluation standards and ethics
- help to develop a prioritisation criteria and evaluate projects
- helping project leads embed evaluation logic into planning
- offering expertise on the broad range of measures that can be used to asses impact
- advising on the level of evaluation needed
- ensuring learning informs future decisions
- coordinating evaluation training.
Initial priority projects include evaluation of how funds to tackle health inequalities are having an impact as well as the impact of new schemes design to improve patient discharge performance and reduce the risk of emergency admission. You will also play a significant role in our work to realise the full potential of population health management data.
You will need
- Experience and technical expertise in evaluation analyses, including needs assessments, process and impaction evaluations.
- To be motivated by solving problems through analysis.
- The ability to combine quantitative and qualitative insights.
- The ability to apply your knowledge of evaluation methodologies to health and care interventions.

About the new SNEE Intelligence Function
The SNEE ICS has a diverse and talented analytical community, modern data and analytics technology, and engaged stakeholders. A key part of this analytical community is the new SNEE Intelligence Function. This is an analytical collaborative, with representatives from organisations across health and care organisations who work together to provide actionable insights from data that links information on health, care and the wider determinants of health. Suffolk County Council is hosting the ‘hub’ team of Intelligence Function analysts on behalf of the SNEE ICS and is working with ICS partners to use new data and insights to support the improvement of health outcomes and the reduction of health inequalities.
We are based at Endeavour House in Ipswich and support hybrid working. This is a broadly even, but flexible balance between working from home and working from the office.
