Senior Data Architect - Up To £110,000 Hybrid / Basingstoke

Job Title:Senior Data Architect
Salary: £100,000 to £110,000 + Bonus + Benefits (depending on experience)
Location:Hybrid / Basingstoke

This is an exciting opportunity where your technical thought leadership will contribute directly to the business vision, with the autonomy to make key design decisions and influence technology investments.
Responsibilities of the Senior Data Architect:

• Develop and align Data Architecture roadmaps with business outcomes.
• Lead the definition and scaling of Data Architecture standards and patterns.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to influence technology investments and drive data solutions.
• Drive modernisation and optimisation of the current data landscape.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate data strategy and support business goals.
• Establish relationships with external organisations and stay abreast of industry trends.

Essential Skills - Senior Data Architect:

• Demonstratable experience of technology leadership in a global environment.
• Extensive experience as a Data Architect, leading complex Data projects, ideally within an enterprise environment.
• Recent experience using modern Data Architecture and engineering methodologies such as Domain Driven Data Architecture, API Designs, SQL and NoSQ, CI/CD and Scalable Data Pipelines.
• Strong Experience in Cloud Native design patterns, preferably Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven ability to convey complex technical topics and influence stakeholders, both technical and non-technical

Additional Skills/Preferences - Senior Data Architect:

• Previous exposure to the development of data pipelines and data products, utilising tools such as Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, PowerBI.
• Experience in Machine Learning services and Data Science workflows.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Robust external network with examples of industry engagement.
• Background in Life Sciences, Pharma or similar industries preferred.
