About the Position
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a strong background in Data Engineering, with expertise in designing scalable and robust data pipelines, data modeling, and optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.

Primary Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing our data architecture.
- You’ll be collaborating closely with your team members to help design simple solutions to real business problems.
- You’ll be writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code that follows best practices.
- You will be providing technical leadership and guidance to the rest of your team.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent systems design skills, with knowledge of best practices across performance, reliability, scaling, distributed systems, data modeling, testing, compliance and security within the Data Engineering domain.
- Experience working with ETL/ELT and building data pipelines (including data preparation, data storage, algorithmically complex computational methods, the delivery of results to end users and orchestration).
- Experience operating data-intensive distributed systems using observability best practices.
- Experience working with machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing and similar capabilities in a big data environment.
- Proven experience working with Data Engineering technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, MapReduce, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Airflow etc.
- Experience working with large scale distributed data stores, SQL & NoSQL databases.
- Fluent in Python
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong sense of accountability across all areas of responsibility.
- Always focused on the business needs and able to work iteratively towards solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar.
