JOB TITLE: Senior Data Modeller

SALARY: £66,861 - £74,290

LOCATION: Edinburgh, Leeds or Bristol

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh, Leeds or Bristol office sites.

What you'll need

  • Experience using data modelling tools and techniques (e.g. ER modelling for operational systems, dimensional modelling for analytics/data warehousing, understand Kimball versus Inmon)
  • Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL, NoSQL, and understanding of their strengths and weaknesses
  • Good understanding of data integration and data governance principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify data modelling requirements and constraints.
  • Capability to analyse complex datasets and derive insights to inform the data modelling process

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Awareness of industry-specific standards and best practices related to data modelling and database design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues related to data quality, data integration, and performance optimization in data models.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, makes use of analogies for non-technical audiences.
