We’re looking for a Senior Data Quality Analyst to lead the implementation of a Data Quality monitoring and reporting framework.

It’s an exciting time to join the team as you’ll look to grow the value of our data and so deliver the data products that the Guardian needs to achieve our goals. 

About the Role

  • Responsible for managing  processes to measure, monitor, and report on Data Quality levels, including rule creation / dashboard and Data Quality profiling
  • Manage, track and communicate Data Quality issues across the organisation.  Leading retros on Data Quality issues and their resolution so we continuously learn and embed improvements.
  • Support data owners & stewards with their responsibilities related to Data Quality and ensure clear accountability for the organisations key data assets.  
  • Ensure that the Data Quality, standards and process is continually reviewed and improved according to best practise, stakeholder feedback and organisational demands. 
  • Ensure that the data governance materials are fit-for-purpose to business needs

About You

  • Experience working as a Data Quality Analyst or Data Quality related role  ideally in a large, data-led and consumer-focused organisation
  • Experience of creating and implementing Data Quality dashboards and monitoring techniques and presenting Data Quality issues to make the most impact
  • Experience of Data Quality profiling, and creating Data Quality rules agreed with the business stakeholders
  • Implementation of Data Quality rules for business glossary terms
  • Experience of managing Data Quality issues and reporting them to relevant bodies and stakeholder groups
  • Data Analysis, e.g., using SQL , BigQuery and Tableau to identify Data Quality issues and perform Data Quality profiling

We’re operating in a hybrid working model with a mix of office based and remote based work. You'll be expected to come into our London office 2 -3 days a week.
