Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a real passion for solving engineering problems, and an ability to come up with novel solutions?

Are you a constant learner who's passionate about engineering, especially automation, robotics, and manufacturing processes?

Are you experienced with SolidWorks and able to convert ideas into designs and those designs into reality?

Are you based within a reasonable commute of Nottingham and carry a full UK driving licence?

If you're all of the above, then I'd like to tell you about a Senior Design role that I'm recruiting for.

• Working across logistics, manufacturing, materials handling and sorting, within food, product manufacturing, parcels and FMCG, they offer a full turnkey solution to some of the best-known companies.

Due to significant growth and an impressive order-book, they now are looking to boost their design team with an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Person
In addition to having the knowledge, experience, and passion for designing (with SolidWorks) solutions within automation, you'll need to be:

• A problem-solving engineer - Either working with others or taking charge of a particular part of the design yourself.
• A constant learner and willing to learn and adapt your current knowledge and stretch your capabilities.
• Experience of cutting-edge automation techniques.
• A great communicator, both verbal and via the written word. This is across your peers, customer contacts, the project team, and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Passionate about your projects and willing to go the extra yards to get things done.

This is only a thumbnail sketch of what is a technical and involving role, so I'll be in touch with those that most suit the needs of the position as a whole, and take things from there.

The Rewards
In order to attract the right talent, they are offering an excellent base salary and benefits package based on experience. This will be discussed on a candidate-by-candidate basis.

Unfortunately, this role would not suit a recent graduate or those without significant real-world experience in a similar role. We are also NOT considering those that would have an excessive commute or would need to relocate - NO EXEPTIONS.
