Are you a Senior Design Engineer who is looking to join an ambitious and rapidly growing company who are looking for a specialist to join their team and contribute to their success?

This rapidly growing company are a specialist in the design and consultancy of power systems for a range of sectors, and aim to provide a high quality service to their ever-growing client base.
In this varied role, you will be managing the design team to produce effective designs to conform with all relevant Codes of Practice, and helping to grow and develop the business. You will be a key member of the team and progression opportunities are there for the taking.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering background and have a proven track record of designing networks with a connection voltage of 132 KV or above. They will also have project management experience and have worked for either an ICP or DNO. They must also hold a CEng or EngTech status with the IET or equivalent and it is important that the candidate is commercially aware and able to develop designs and construction drawings.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced design manager who is looking to work alongside a highly skilled team and help develop the company.
The Role:

• Lead the design team to produce efficient designs in compliance with all relevant Codes of Practice and CDM 2015 regulations.

• Develop Design Stage Risk Assessments and Hazard Elimination & Management Lists for safe project execution.

• Generate precise, cost-effective estimates and high-quality design work packs.

• Maintain and manage strong relationships with clients aiming to meet their expectations.

• Collaborate effectively, taking on additional tasks and enhancing skills as needed to improve UKPN's outcomes.

The Person:

• Electrical Engineering background
• Proven track record of designing networks with a connection voltage of 132 KV or above.
• Industry experience
• Ensure design compliance with the CDM 2015 regulations.
• Full driving license and willing to commute to client sites in London, and nationwide when needed.
