The Senior Developer has multiple responsibilities within the organization. Their time is broken down to software delivery and junior developer coaching responsibilities. Software delivery responsibilities will vary over time but are focused on the technical leadership, design and development of applications used in the trade lifecycle. It is expected that a Senior Developer will work on a portfolio of different software products during their time in the organization and will coach different individuals in their career.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Vertical Leads across Delivery, Technical, QA, Architecture, and Functional aspects to ensure the seamless delivery of work within the agreed timelines set by the business. A key focus involves engaging and supporting essential business stakeholders across the end-user community. Working in tandem with the Technical and Architecture lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the technical engineering of a portfolio of applications, ensuring best practices.

Understanding the intricate technical needs and dependencies with other applications and teams, you will actively manage these elements in collaboration with Lead Developers and Architects to implement the most suitable technical solutions. Your commitment to fostering architecture and design consistency will involve liaison with the Architecture team, contributing to code reviews, and ensuring alignment with established design principles.

As part of your strategic involvement, you will collaborate with the Vertical Tech Lead and Architects to identify and address technical debt, communicating effectively with key stakeholders. You’ll actively contribute to the software development roadmap, patterns, and principles, playing a hands-on role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, test-driven object-oriented software. This multifaceted role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to drive technology roadmaps for software solutions in alignment with broader departmental technology strategies and architectural principles.

Your communication skills, both verbal and written, equips you to articulate technical subjects to a non-technical audience, showcasing your versatility.

Your role demands a demonstrated technical authority, instilling credibility to effectively lead a talented team. Proven experience in coaching and mentoring junior developers is highly valued, and we are open to considering individuals with the potential to move into such a role. Striking the right balance between ideal solutions and the practical delivery of requirements is a key aspect of your skill set.

With a robust background as an Enterprise Developer, you have hands-on experience in managing complex projects involving C#, SQL Server, and a web UI framework such as Vue, Angular, lit-element, etc. Your background ideally includes exposure to a trading or data-intensive organisation, whether in commodities, financials, betting, or similar domains. Familiarity with Endur and its .Net API (Open Components) would be desirable.
