Your role

The Community Project Manager is a critical role working closely with partners and volunteers to strengthen the Watch movements in designated areas across Devon and Cornwall. The role will play a key role in identifying, maintaining, and improving the current membership of Watch schemes and recruiting, supporting and developing the implementation of our Community Safety Charter,

Our development role is full of variety, and every day is different! From generating and processing new schemes to training our wonderful volunteer team you’ll find every day challenging but extremely rewarding. You will have relevant experience in volunteer management but a great attitude and willingness to learn is just as important.

 

About you

As Community Project Manager you’ll be passionate about supporting communities to be better-connected and have a love of getting the best out of volunteers. You’ll be looking for a development role as the next step in your career and be comfortable working closely with the team and partners. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for attracting a wider scope of membership. We ask you demonstrate an appreciation of Neighbourhood Watch’s values and ambition of achieving 5-year strategy.

 

About working in our team

Our small team supports the volunteers in our communities that are the face of our charity, run by a dedicated, creative, and passionate bunch of superstars. Focusing on creating sustainable safer environments for area in which they live and work, engaging with local communities and leading our volunteers to deliver a great experience.

 

Term - Fixed term till 31st March 2025 with likely extension

Hours - 22.5 hours per week

Location – 3 days a week based remotely or in the community.

Salary - £18,000 (0.6 FTE - pro rated from a salary of £30,000 per year)
