  • If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join us as a Senior Development Officerin the Advancement Team within External Relations at the University of Dundee where you will lead on engagement with a select portfolio of individuals and deliver programmes to secure funding for the University and make a difference to people's lives.


    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to join a dynamic team at a pivotal point in the University of Dundee's philanthropic journey. With ambitious plans for a major University-wide fundraising campaign, the successful candidate will have the chance to build on their skills in a nurturing, creative and stimulating environment.


    Your priorities will include:



    • Raising philanthropic revenue by cultivating and soliciting potential and existing donors for significant gifts.

    • To personally manage an assigned portfolio of potential donors, nurture strong relationships with new and existing donors, implement donor-specific strategies for cultivation, and negotiate, secure and close philanthropic gifts.

    • Work to agreed activity and financial targets.

    • You will be able to demonstrate:



      • Experience of fundraising with a track record in Mid - Major Gift fundraising, managing prospects and key relationships both internally and externally.

      • Excellent communication skills and experience of using a wide range of communication techniques including face-to-face, telephone, online and informal presentations.

      • Ability to initiate and develop relationships with a variety of different people

      • Commitment to fundraising and a willingness to take the lead in the development of campaigns and asking for financial support.
