Hours of work:
Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out research to develop processes for fabrication of infrared QD photodetector devices
- Plan experiments, draw conclusions and share results
- Contribute to IP development with invention disclosures and patents
- Improve understanding of device physics from a personal and company perspective
- Specify, procure and setup equipment and software related to your role, as requested. This will include equipment for setting up device metrology and implement fabrication processes.
- Specify, procure and maintain consumables related to your work.
- Look after and maintain specific toolsets, equipment and processes as defined by the team leader.
Your Background:
- PhD in relevant discipline (Physics, Engineering, or Materials Science) with at least 2-years of experience in developing QD semiconductor devices for short-wave infrared QD photodetector technology applications.
- In-depth knowledge of device engineering principles, materials, and technologies, particularly in the area of quantum dot devices.
- Experience in maintaining fabrication equipment such as evaporator, laser ablation and ALD is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to provide comprehension and resolution of complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
