Our Development Operations (DevOps) Engineering Teams deliver support to major digital and technology services change programmes transforming HSE. The team designs, establishes and operates secure cloud-based technologies, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
We are now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps Team within the Information, Technology and Services (ITS) on a permanent, full -time basis.

The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will support the design, development and delivery of our new cloud-based technologies as we expand our digital services in Azure.
You will develop the newly formed, multi-skilled DevOps Engineering team to manage the technologies of a cloud-based IT estate, ensuring that services perform optimally and in line with SLAs and business requirements.
Supporting the implementation of continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) for live services, you will deliver major digital and technology services change programmes and help to establish and operate DevOps processes.
Additionally, you will:
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service
- Ensure services are protected against cyber-attacks and unauthorised loss
- Work to automate our processes and implement new tooling

About You
To be considered as a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will need:
- Experience of implementing and administering cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure, utilising IaaS or PaaS based services
- Experience of building and optimising CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Experience using scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience of creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, ARM templates) in a source control management system
- Experience of managing the technologies of a cloud-based IT estate
Please note, you may be required to be on an on-call rota.
