Job Title: Senior Digital Marketing Executive (Content & Social Media)

Salary: £32,000

Contract: Full-Time & Permanent

Location: Glasgow/Hybrid. You'll split your time between working from home and our Glasgow office, located just 5 minutes walk from Queen Street and Central Station.


The Role


Join the dynamic in-house marketing team at XL Event Lab as our new Senior Digital Marketing Executive. We are on the lookout for a creative individual with a flair for content and Social Media. If you have an in-depth understanding of various digital platforms, and a knack for creating engaging and shareable content, you might be the creative mind we're seeking.


As the Senior Digital Marketing Executive, you'll dive into the exciting task of developing a profound understanding of our brands and audiences. Utilising these insights, you'll craft impactful content that inspires our audience, builds awareness and ultimately drives ticket sales across our online properties.

We create large-scale, unforgettable experiences that aim to temporarily disconnect people from their devices, get them outside and active, and ultimately bring friends, families and communities closer together. Key Responsibilities


  • Spearhead the creation of top-notch copy, video, and image assets for diverse digital channels, including Social Media, email, website, and ticketing platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to refine our Social Media strategy, focusing on enhancing growth and engagement.
  • Strategise, create, and schedule compelling multimedia content across various Social Media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Identify and engage designers, photographers, videographers, and creative agencies as needed to meet the content plan requirements.
  • Craft clear and concise creative briefs for third-party contractors/agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Establish and maintain an easily accessible library of marketing assets for teams across the company.
  • Collaborate with influencers, media partners, and venue marketers, ensuring they have the necessary assets for impactful campaigns.
  • Generate regular reports that communicate content performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about innovative marketing strategies and content utilised by similar brands.
  • Keep abreast of new platform developments/features and emerging channels, making recommendations for testing as part of our content strategy.


Essential Skills


  • Solid knowledge of Social Media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with 2+ years of experience in growing a brand.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills, showcasing impeccable grammar, spelling, and style.
  • A discerning eye for design and an instinctive understanding of consumer appeal.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality content.
  • Strong project management and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later or similar.
  • Results-oriented, with a natural drive to continually improve performance and streamline working processes.


Desirable Skills


  • Relevant qualification in marketing, PR, advertising, communications, or Social Media.
  • Experience with image and video editing software such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
