The Caterpillar Building Construction Products (BCP) division is hiring a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist that will play a key role in evolving the future of marketing capabilities within the division.

Role Summary:

This customer-focused, innovative thinker will work closely with stakeholders and leaders to develop the BCP marketing customer experience strategy and vision which guides the efforts of all regional marketing teams. They will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of key marketing initiatives that shape the future of BCP marketing.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

  • Digital Marketing Strategy Development: Consult with regional teams to develop and optimize Digital Marketing strategies, leveraging technology to drive results across various channels, including demand generation, website strategy, media strategy, email strategy, social strategy, and others.

  • Digital Marketing Technology Strategy: Build and enhance the technology ecosystem to support Digital Marketing efforts, integrating cutting-edge tools and platforms while evolving strategies to leverage innovations and trends for a dynamic, competitive, and results-driven approach.

  • Capability Ownership: Serve as a capability owner for key areas such as website strategy, content and SEO, and media, email marketing, and lead management. This includes establishing best practices and collaborating with regional teams for effective implementation.

  • CX Research and Insights: Collaborate with various team members to conduct customer, market, and competitor research, including both annual and ad-hoc studies, to develop business insights that inform strategy decisions.

  • CX Strategy Development: Utilize insights from research to develop a global strategic direction. Create customer journey maps and segmentation strategies to inform regional messaging, creative, and content strategies.

  • CX Execution: Develop smaller sub-journeys across multiple channels, focusing on personalization and using data to adapt the customer experience. Collaborate with teams to collect data along the journey and implement strategies effectively.

Skills:

  • Strategic Consultation: Develop Digital Marketing best practices, deliver ongoing training, and provide strategic consultation to BCP marketing teams globally

  • Program / Project Management: Manage a portfolio of key marketing initiatives that shape the future of BCP marketing

  • Effectiveness Measurement ​/ Business Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and understand the desired future state functionality and capabilities of BCP marketing programs

  • Product Training / Workshop Facilitation: Organize, facilitate and lead collaborative workshop sessions with a diverse set of professional experiences including product, technology, IT, digital development, retail, commercial, pricing and marketing​

  • Communications Management / Relationship Management: Manage communications across internal stakeholders and Caterpillar’s dealer network about enhancements, updates and modifications to the site

What You Have (Basic Qualifications)

  • Extensive experience leading and /or managing CX/UX strategy efforts, Digital Marketing strategies, communication and content strategies, website development, email marketing, marketing automation, and/or digital analytics

  • Experience developing and managing programs, leading cross-functional teams, and working across internal and external business partners

  • Demonstrated experience leading, deploying and enhancing successful customer-facing websites or comparable digital channels

  • Experience developing and delivering persuasive presentations, recommendations, proposals and business cases that inspire action

  • General understanding of the technical aspects of Digital Marketing channels (websites, social, paid media, email marketing)

  • Experience working on large/complex Digital Marketing initiatives and/or working with large brands/complex organizations

  • Ability to take complex digital concepts and translate into language appropriate for executive leadership, management and project team members

  • Comfortable making, communicating and defending large-scale, strategic, data-driven decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to execute in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task effectively

  • Skilled at problem solving and proposing creative/non-traditional solutions to problems; digs deep into root causes

  • Excellent communication skills focused on matching the right message to the audience; possesses active listening skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers, stakeholders, leaders, dealer personnel and customers

  • Exceptional organization and analytical skills

  • High sense of urgency to accomplish projects on time and on/under budget

Salary: £59,500-£72,500 SG24
