About The Role:


The primary purpose of this role is to support the Direct Sales strategy which will deliver the required growth in Direct volume revenue & channel share via 3rd party distribution channels in the UK&I/EMEA region The role will work alongside all relevant stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives that have been identified across new distribution channels and convert this into meaningful sales activities that aligns with the longer-term distribution strategy of the region
The role will work cross functionally to establish the optimal go to market strategy for new and existing 3rd party distribution channels and implement effective processes to generate new business increases
The role will operate within a predefined framework and following initial implementation will be responsible for continuous improvement in ways of working with 3rd parties and will ensure processes are automated where possible and evolve in-line with RCG’s internal system capabilities


The role will help us grow & broaden our Direct distribution presence and work closely with the marketing team locally and in Miami to increase awareness of the Celebrity Cruise brand across the region


Working within the Celebrity Cruises Commercial Team this role will report into the Head of Business Development whilst working very closely with various teams including the Marketing Revenue Commercial IT and Operations teams With direct channels being a key strategic priority for the business this role needs to ensure the initiatives are implemented to a very high standard with accuracy and strong attention to detail


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the planning and implementation of new Direct Sales initiatives for new 3rd party business opportunities
  • Support the expansion of the current product portfolio which are not currently in place This area may include but is not limited to 3rd Party Commercial Partnerships across all sectors Associations MICE Tourists Boards Airlines & Travel providers Sports affiliationsTo champion new business initiatives and develop plans to incorporate our new product portfolio effectively into our existing work streams
  • Eg: Packaging/Curated Groups
  • To track campaigns
  • source and analyse reporting to understand levels of success achieved against pre-set targets
  • To monitor and present findings from competitor research
  • trade partner activity and other travel company’s activity to develop our understanding and discover new innovative opportunities
  • To play a key role in developing and activating new Direct customer-facing initiatives including cruise shows ship day visits webinars and other consumer events as agreed
  • To support and manager an internal lead generation program for Direct business leads
  • To support the promotion and development of driving increased sales via the onboard sales channel for direct consumers Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and competitor activity
  • sharing with the wider organisation as appropriate
  • Raise PO’s
  • update budget trackers and support the team with financial administration
  • Other duties as deemed necessary to deliver the Direct Distribution strategy in line with agreed business targets

PERSONAL ATTITUDE AND SKILLS:

  • Highly organised and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivation with a can-do attitude
  • being action orientated with the ability to learn quickly and understand business priorities
  • Strong Copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical skills with experience of extracting and utilising data insights (Ideally from Adobe)
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop and HTML knowledge an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence with dealing with internal and external partners
  • Calm under pressure
