Position Summary

They are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Health Economics to lead the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in health economics, a strong track record of leadership, and a passion for driving impactful healthcare solutions. This role is pivotal in advancing the HEOR capabilities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based insights to their clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Health Economics department in alignment with our overall goals.
  • Drive the growth and development of HEOR services, expanding our capabilities and market presence.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of HEOR projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, methodologies, and standards for HEOR activities.

Business Development:

  • Shape and drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to create compelling proposals and pitch presentations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of health economists, analysts, and researchers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored HEOR solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.

Scientific Expertise and Communication:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in health economics, outcomes research, and real-world evidence generation.
  • Communicate complex health economic concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders, including clients, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.

Regulatory and Compliance:

  • Ensure all HEOR activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Oversee the submission of health economic evidence to regulatory agencies and support reimbursement and market access strategies.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, MPH) in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a pharmaceutical company is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivery of HEOR services in a consultancy or industry setting.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in health economic modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and conferences.
