Salary: £33k - £42k + Excellent Benefits

Working Hours: 37.5 Hours

The Client:

Our client is a well-established environmental consultancy firm, delivering full ecological survey and contracting services to public sectors and private clients.

The Role:

As a Senior Ecologist, you will be supervising regional projects, coordinating, and executing ecological surveys.

Responsibilities:

-Generating diverse reports, encompassing protected species license applications.
-Conducting business management tasks including crafting fee proposals, tenders, handling finances, engaging in marketing, and overseeing general office operations.
-Clear communication of survey findings and recommendations to clients verbally and in written reports by all team members.

Requirements:

Essential:

-Previously worked as an Ecologist or in a similar role within ecological consultancy.
-Minimum 5 years of professional consultancy experience.
-Background in managerial or mentorship.
-Possess mitigation licensing experience.
-Designated Ecologist, BMCL registered or recognised under the Earned Recognition scheme.
-Possess bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
-Multiple protected species survey licences and GIS skills.
-Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Good to have:

-Protected species survey licenses (e.g., bats, GCN, dormice, rare reptiles, barn owls). (Desirable)
-Experience with planning system, technical reporting (EIA, HRA, BNG), and license applications. (Desirable)
-Membership of CIEEM. (Desirable)
