Job Title: Senior Backend Developer
Location: Bournemouth, UK

We specialise in Magento, but our expertise extends to other platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Laravel, WordPress, and Shopware. We are currently on the lookout for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in eCommerce development and a passion for delivering exceptional web solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, build and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications and eCommerce solutions
- Develop customised features, extensions and integrations for various platforms, with a primary focus on Magento
- Ensure the performance, stability and security of our clients' websites
- Participate in code and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvements
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical guidance and support when needed
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry
- Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and MVC frameworks, preferably with experience in Magento 2
- Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Laravel, WordPress, and Shopware
- Proficient in using Git or other version control systems
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Skills:
- Magento Developer Certification
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as Jira or Teamwork.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range £30,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
