SalaryOur client, is a multi disciplinary consultancy involved in a wide range of Building Services. They are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent or contract basis depending on the requirements of the candidate.
The Senior ElectricalDesign Engineer role will offer an opportunity to provide electrical design services on a wide range of projects within the Building Services industry which will include working for a large multi-national company.
About the Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer
The Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer role will support projects from initial feasibility through design, construction, commissioning and validation with direct interaction with the end client.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and understanding the requirements of the design task
- Understanding the brief and the client's requirements
- Undertaking design calculations
- Preparing designs, specifications, schedules and tender documentation
- Helping to produce budget estimates
- Developing design proposals at sketch, detail design and production stages
- Preparing reports and undertaking site surveys
About You
As Senior ElectricalDesign Engineer, you will be highly experienced and comfortable working on a range of projects in the Building Services sectors.
Other requirements include:
- A HND or Degree relevant to Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience post-graduation in a design environment
- Proficient in the use of Hevacomp, Trimble (Amtech) and Dialux/Relux suite of calculations
- Good people management skills with a developing commercial edge
- Ambitious for both self and for company
- Preferably have some experience of working in a process/pharmaceutical environment, but this is not essential.
