Senior Electrical Designer

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a leading provider of M&E, building services design, installation and maintenance.

Due to my client’s continuous growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Designer to join their expanding team.

Salary - DOE, willing to go to market.

Key Duties of the Senior Electrical Designer role:

• Assess project requirements and specifications to ensure that electrical system designs, covering power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communication systems for buildings and infrastructure projects, adhere to standards and regulations.
• Verify that electrical designs comply with relevant UK regulations and standards, such as the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and Building Regulations and incorporate appropriate electrical safety measures.
• Collaborate closely with in-house teams to integrate client-required electrical systems into overall designs.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems, encompassing layouts, schematics, and equipment schedules.
• Apply expertise in integrating energy-efficient and sustainable design principles into electrical systems, including the utilization of renewable energy sources and optimizing energy consumption.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technology, regulations, and best practices.
• Exhibit strong communication skills to ensure comprehension of requirements and address any concerns or issues throughout the project design lifecycle.
• Uphold the quality and precision of electrical designs through meticulous reviews.
• Demonstrate keen attention to detail and experience in managing multiple deliverables.

Experience required:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Trimble / Amtech, Realux or Dialux.
• Navis works.
• Understanding of EV.
• Knowledge and experience in DNO, TX and RMU services.
• MIET or CIBSE or working towards.
