Senior Electrical Engineer

Astute’s renewables team is exclusively partnering with an engineering consultancy with a 30-year reputation of successful and diverse energy infrastructure projects, to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer based from the Stockport office.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Team Leader you will:

* Provide design, and technical engineering consultancy/ services to developers, investors, and owner-operators.
* Liaise with external and internal clients, attend meetings, and deliver high quality technical reports and models.
* Undertake feasibility, power systems and design reviews.
* Ability to assess manufactured or fabricated items for faults, also providing site-based construction monitoring.
* Witnessing site and factory acceptance testing.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* Excellent knowledge of industrial electrical infrastructure, including design and commissioning.
* Knowledge of grid connections, HV and LV switchgear, substations and coordinating with UK DNO’s.
* Prior experience using Electrical Engineering software’s and Dig SILENT.

Personal skills

The Senior Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:

* Able to successfully work as part of a larger team as well as autonomously.
* Excellent understanding of H&S and welfare within engineering.
* Flexible to travel when required.
