Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer for a pivotal role within our Engineering department. The ideal candidate will contribute to our industrial/manufacturing processes by providing leadership with regards to the operational safety and maintenance of the site electrical systems.

Description

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and components to meet industry standards and specifications.
• The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop and approve the technical electrical project scopes and manage electrically biased projects.
• Develop and maintain safe operational and maintenance systems/procedures for the plants high and low voltage electrical distribution systems. Including all operational switching, issuing of permits, controlling and supervising work on the high voltage system
• Ensure safety regulations are adhered to while dealing with electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical tests and analyses to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Coach and mentor team to support development and ensure high performance
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Continually enhance technical knowledge and stay updated with industry advancements.

Profile

A successful Senior Electrical Engineer should have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Industrial/Manufacturing industry.
• An in depth knowledge of High Voltage electrical Operations and Safety.
• An in depth knowledge of electrical power distribution within the Power Station sector would be beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
