The Role
As the Electrical Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of electrical quality across all aspects of operations. This role demands a meticulous approach to quality assurance, a deep understanding of domestic single phase electrical systems, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Electrical Quality Manager will play a crucial role in upholding the Company’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
- Supervise electrical teams during the installation of domestic and commercial solar projects.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to guarantee the highest standards of electrical workmanship.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Quality Manager to continuously improve installation processes.
Safety Compliance:
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Conduct safety briefings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety within the electrical teams.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, working closely with the Safety Officer.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor electrical installation teams.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Ensure that team members are well-trained and equipped with the necessary tools and resources.
Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain effective communication channels with project managers, other supervisors, and support teams.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Provide regular project status updates to higher management.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified electrical qualification
- JIB Gold Card
- 18th Edition amendment 2
- City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspect
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical project supervision, particularly in solar installations.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards (such as MCS)
