Seeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to support a global firm on their Employee Relations and Policy across the EMEA and APAC regions. This role will be stand-alone subject matter expert on all aspects of ER including business restructuring and TUPE and complex and high-risk ER cases and coaching management through people processes and policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact to providing advice and guidance to line managers and broader HR on all ER matter across the EMEA and APAC regions
  • Provide expertise around ER matters: absence management, performance management, flexible working requests, probationary processes, redundancies, grievances, disciplinaries and appeals.
  • Provide support to line managers providing guidance and advice to manager ER cases through to resolution.
  • Provide central governance and guidance for change programmes and consultation programmes for TUPE, M&A and restructuring ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Develop timely reports and insights on ER to senior managers and business leaders.
  • Proactively maintain and apply current knowledge of employment law, policies and practices to manage ER cases from advice, investigation, support at meetings, documentation through to providing commercial recommendations and solutions, whilst balancing risk to the business

Skills required:

  • Prior experience of working autonomously as the Employee Relations expert within a complex global organisation
  • Extensive experience of managing complex UK/EMEA/APAC Employee Relations issues including redundancies, grievances and investigations/disciplinaries
  • Business change experience including TUPE and M&A
  • Ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems
  • Excellent communication and well developed interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt in a fast paced changing environment
  • Knowledge and experience within a regulated and organisationally complex environment ideally in a global environment
