Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting on-site energy efficiency audits with a focus on HVAC/Utility systems, control systems, and lighting.
The role involves analyzing potential opportunities, creating proposals, and presenting findings to clients.
Additionally, you will work closely with site operation teams to optimize system performance and recommend operations based on client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site energy efficiency audits, concentrating on HVAC/Utility systems and associated control systems and lighting.


• Analyze potential opportunities, create detailed proposals, and present findings to clients.


• Collaborate with site operation teams to optimize system performance, including BMS setting optimization.


• Recommend system operations based on client needs and building usage.


• Research emerging technologies and standards for implementation into company practices and projects.


• Conduct site visits to verify the installation and operation of technologies, taking ownership of site metering systems.


• Coordinate and inspect on-site work and installations performed by suppliers, consultants, and contractors.


• Work with project site staff, client staff, and maintenance teams to ensure accurate operation within design parameters.


• Collaborate with Energy Data Analyst to review consumption before, during, and after implementation phases.

Person Specification:

• Experience in a similar role or field (Desirable).


• Experience in facilities/utilities operation and maintenance, with required system experience in HVAC, Steam generation systems, and Chilled water generation.


• Experience in Refrigeration systems and F-Gas/Natural refrigerant applications (Advantageous).


• Building Services Degree qualified or working towards (Desirable).


• Knowledge of BMS systems is essential, with proficiency in Metasys and the ability to modify code (Desirable).


• Project management skills (change control, budgets, planning, and tracking).


• Energy management - CEM qualified or equivalent (Desirable).
