Doncaster Council is seeking a dedicated Highways Engineer to lead a team in the Routine Maintenance and management of the highway network. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the thriving community of Doncaster.
Day to Day of the role:- Oversee highway safety and service inspections, ensuring they are conducted correctly, promptly, and to a high quality.
- Deliver and manage both reactive and routine highway maintenance needs, applying a risk-based approach.
- Provide information and support in relation to third-party claims, including attending court as necessary.
- Build effective relationships with customers and partners, enhancing the service provided to the community.
- Lead and support a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience within an operational Highways environment.
- Well-organised, flexible, and strong communication skills.
