Our client, a leading company in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer with a focus on Road Safety to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of key statutory functions aimed at reducing road traffic collisions and proactively managing the highway network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Road safety and will possess expertise in the field of traffic management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake Road safety education initiatives and campaigns
- Experience working with TROs
- Implement measures to reduce road traffic collisions
- Conduct regular inspections of the highway network to identify potential hazards
- Develop and implement Road safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and staff
- Prepare reports and presentations on Road safety initiatives and outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Road safety
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in the field of Road safety
- Strong understanding of traffic management principles and methodologies
- Proven ability to develop and implement Road safety initiatives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications in Road safety and traffic management
