Senior Engineering Manager (Plant and Equipment) - Reading/Warrington - 12 Month Contract
£65-80 Per hour (DOE) - Umbrella
Hybrid (1 day in office per week)

Our client are a leading engineering consultancy who seek a Senior Engineering manager to lead and manage a technical team; providing effective leadership as the main contact point for all team members and/or other team leaders. You will maintain a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to current and future business requirements in order to deliver the integrated technical programme.

Accountabilities
Lead, coach and develop a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet operational plans, including mentoring and development of staff
Assess staff performance against agreed personal objectives and report up to the Principal Engineering Managers and the Lead
Ensure appropriate SQEP resources are in place to successfully deliver engineering solutions
Fulfil any additional accountabilities for this role that may be defined and appointed by the Principal Engineering Managers
Responsibilities
Deliver or assist in the delivery of new processes/equipment to be used in the supply chain in the relevant area (B&S, PP&E, manufacturing)
Mobilise resources to ensure successful delivery in a safe, secure and efficient manner
Ensure the team are performing at a high level consistent with the client organisation and regulator standards and conditions
Ensure the timely delivery of a licensable design in accordance with client organisation arrangements
Engage with stakeholders to have positive impact on decisions and programme delivery
Ensure the team maintain accurate configuration of engineering deliverables
Skills & Experience
Background in manufacturing or engineering with a knowledge or understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques and processes
Experience of successfully managing projects across teams
Working appreciation of financial and business requirements
Knowledge or understanding of the nuclear licence conditions
Fully fluent in BIM/CAD software, modelling software and MS Office packages
