The Worley Environment and Society Group are a global and integral part of Worley’s Sustainable offering, delivering on a wide variety of projects spanning new energy, petrochemical, Mining & minerals, desalination, decommissioning and restoration across the EMEA region.

The E&S group deliver on both consultancy based and major engineering design scopes, while working jointly with the Worley Engineering teams.

Worley are looking to recruit an Environmental Engineer into the UK E&S group the team on this exciting adventure as Worley presses to the forefront of sustainable delivery.

Role Context:

You will be embedded into an established team of specialists with variety of backgrounds.

The new start will enjoy a broad range of experience in their time with Worley, quickly developing knowledge across a variety of projects and learning how Worley achieves sustainable and compliant design in multi-disciplinary project teams.

Initially work will be carried out from the candidate’s allocated home office (UK) although opportunities for working directly on project sites will be available.

This role will benefit a candidate with background in technical project delivery and entrepreneur attitude.


You'll be:

  • Developing key environmental control documentation including Basis of Design, Management & monitoring Plans
  • Preparing standard Environmental Engineering deliverables including Environmental Critical Equipment Plans/Performance, waste, emissions and effluent inventories, Best Available Technique assessment (BAT), ENVID
  • Supporting on specialist studies including Climate change adaptation, Emission Reduction Strategies, noise studies, air quality, Carbon baselines and energy efficiency studies

You'll have:

  • A least 10 years of experience in performing at subject matter expert advisory level to more technical inputs including.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Advisory and/or consultancy roles, within Environmental Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience delivering of reports, evidence of talking to clients, client interfacing and negotiation.
  • Experience in generation of proposals bids and tenders.
  • Solid understanding of Sustainability.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • It would be preferable experience in managing a team of Environmental Engineers.
