About The Role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Environmental Protection Officer to join the team. You will be responsible for your own caseload, supporting the development of policy and procedures for the team as well as supporting other officers in the team.
The Environmental Protection and Waste Team covers all aspects of Environmental Protection and enviro-crime, including nuisance, ASB, air quality, contaminated land, permitted processes and you will work closely with our Environmental Rangers around flytipping and other waste crimes.
The Environmental Services team work on occasion, outside normal office hours and you would be expected to partake as required. You would be expected also to participate in the stand by rota which attracts an additional payment.

About You
The successful post holder will be self-motivated, have a track record of successful case management and enforcement, with the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with a wide range of customers. They will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy a challenge.
We are looking for candidates who have a degree in Environmental Health or equivalent with significant experience in a frontline enforcement team. A solid knowledge of Environmental Protection legislation preferential; however, we will consider applications from those with significant experience in any frontline environmental health team.
