The Client:
Our client is a renowned construction firm, providing exceptional construction, civil engineering, and joinery services to its clientele.
The Role:
As SeniorEstimator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing tender lifecycle from receipt to submission and post-tender queries.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse tender documents to grasp project requirements and risks.
* Coordinate with internal teams for specialist support on insurance, commercial terms, and technical aspects.
* Conduct material take-offs and prepare enquiries.
* Estimate labour, plant, material, and time requirements for tender cost computation.
* Maintain detailed records and organised work schedules.
* Creating precise and detailed estimates for a variety of tenders.
* Update estimating software with current rates and purchasing information.
* Prepare tender reports and commercial documents for handover meetings.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotations.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as an Estimator or in a similar role.
* Experience in civil engineering projects.
* Possess extensive technical expertise and knowledge in construction estimating.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders while meeting deadlines.
* Computer literate, ideally with substantial experience in Causeway or equivalent estimating software.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
