Senior Executive Communications Manager

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of internal communications within the Executive Communications team. This role is an important and integral role for the team as it will support the delivery of various communication initiatives related to the delivery of the executive strategy.

In this role you will:

 

·        Develop and deliver a cohesive and engaging employee communications schedule for HSBC’s most senior leaders, providing expert advice on the most appropriate communications tactics and messages 

·        Ensure Group strategy updates, quarterly financial results and other organisational initiatives are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders

·        Plan, edit and write high quality content for a variety of internal communications mediums – including internal memos, briefing notes for events, talking points for leaders, social media posts, etc

·        Act as the key contact for local communications teams when engaging with the Group Chief Executive / Group Chairman 

·        Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational reputation



Request

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

·        Experience of working in internal communications and a good understanding of how to use different internal communications channels to deliver messages to have maximum impact is essential

·        Proven ability to build very good relationships with senior stakeholders, manage their expectations and deliver successfully

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills which enable you to explain things clearly and in ways that different internal audiences will understand

·        Strong team player and network builder across a complex organisation and different geographies

·        Impeccable judgment and strategic thinking, with an eye for reputational risk
