Senior Facilities Engineer (Test Facilities)

MillTech Recruitment has an exciting position available with their growing client in Milton Keynes.

You will be joining a growing team of Facilities & Projects Engineers working on state-of-the-art Internal Combustion, Hybrd and EV testing sites.

The team is consistently growing and providing more and more opportunities to learn different areas of the business.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Facilities Engineer will include:

• Work on the specification, procurement, installation, and commission electrical and mechanical systems
• Support projects & facilities across 2 sites and test cells covering combustion engine, hybrid, transmission and electric powertrain testing
• Development and maintenance of PPM schedules in line with manufacturers recommendations
• Contribute to the planning of end-to-end delivery of projects supporting the company s expansion plans and strategy
• General building infrastructure & systems ensuring the maintenance, repair and upgrade where needed
• Work closely with external suppliers of critical equipment and services to ensure efficient equipment operation
• Identify and champion the design requirements to meet good practice and other specific requirements including Machinery directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC directive

The ideal Senior Facilities Engineer we are seeking will have the following:

• Proven background working on Test Facilities, ideally Automotive although not essential
• Working understanding of systems including Invertor drives, motors, dynamometers, battery simulators and/or fuels systems
• Experience in building and test cell infrastructure covering HVAC, chilled & process water systems, exhaust systems, climatic control systems, building management systems
• Able to design, document and interpret drawings for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and the fault finding and rectification of such systems
• Technically strong with PID control, PLC control systems and CAD design skills
