Senior Fe .Net Developer

CMC Markets are hiring and we are currently looking for a Senior / Lead Developer to join our Pricing and Risk team.

​We work on a front office, internal pricing and trading platform utilising state of the art technologies. The role will focus on the main .Net 6 WPF UI used by the dealing team in London and Sydney.

Please note that we operate onsite working and would need someone to come into the London office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the core internal .Net 6 WPF UI to support the firm’s market making business across multiple asset classes
• Work alongside quants, developers, front office users in utilising your UI/UX experience to ensure requests are delivered
• Work with fellow Java team members who are developing the backend event driven microservices (cross training exposure is also possible)
• Understand the nature of the trading floor business and the need to respond quickly and efficiently to issues that can or has caused business outage
• Adhere and contribute to the team coding review standards and release management processes
• Ensure a positive approach to challenge, strong team work ethics and provide open and honest communication
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
• Maintain personal / professional training and development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training
• Have an understanding of the core concepts of OO and .Net ( .Net Framework experience is sufficient, .Net 5+ experience is not necessary )
• Explore the next generation of .Net UI technologies such as Blazor and MAUI
• Have experience in mentoring developers and contributing to team processes

Key Skills & Experience:

• A track record of commercial experience in .Net development in any UI technology (WPF, Winforms, ASP.Net, etc)
• Experience in leading project teams
• Experience of peer code reviewing in both directions
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience of event driven and distributed messaging architectures
• An understanding of multi-threading concurrency development techniques and memory footprint management
• Exposure to Java is a bonus
• An understanding and / or interest in core financial concepts and mathematics
