Put simply, we set the standards by which everything is measured. In doing so, the National Physical Laboratory is helping to combat issues on a global scale such as climate change, curing diseases and the development of cutting-edge communications technology. Our work is important, yet to make sure it is sustainable, we must make sure it’s financially viable too. At NPL, we touch ordinary lives in extraordinary ways, what if you could too?
As the Senior FP&A Analyst, you'll join the collaborative Financial Strategy and Planning team and work closely with the Partnerships and Science and Engineering directorates. This is a fixed term contract role up to 15 months.
What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with directorates to communicate how they’re performing and how they can improve.
- Working with the partnerships team on evaluating business cases to support their bids for projects
- Support in preparing the quarterly business review, continually challenging the quality and integrity of the data and flagging any areas of concern, as well as solutions.
- A focus on developing and improving the existing forecasting process, and quarterly business reviews.
- involvement in financial modelling and process improvement to drive reporting quality, efficiency, and insight.
We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. In this role you can expect to be on site minimum 2 days per week. We strive to offer a great work life balance - if you are looking for full time, part time or flexible options, we will try to make this work where business possible. This will be dependent on the role you do and part of the business you work in.
